Scheduled SRD Website Downtime

SASSA also wishes to inform all COVID-19 SRD clients that the official SRD website (srd.sassa.gov.za) will be temporarily unavailable on Sunday, 31 August 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00.

This downtime is due to scheduled maintenance work aimed at improving performance and ensuring continued smooth service delivery.

Important Note: Beneficiaries are advised to plan ahead and make use of the platform before or after the scheduled maintenance period.

Important Message for Beneficiaries

Starting 01 September 2025, SASSA will introduce the mandatory Beneficiary Biometric Enrolment in all local offices upon application.

SASSA also assures beneficiaries that the change in the relationship between SASSA and Postbank will not affect social grant payments. All payments will continue without interruption.
